As I was playing around and comparing, I noticed that the turnaround note for the key follow is C2 on Invader, which is lower than on many other synths if I am not mistaken.

Minimonsta has real-time morphing between up 12 patches by MIDI, 6,000+ patches, unison, external input, and much more.v1o wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 3:49 pmIf my memory is correct. That's my favourite and it doesn't seem to have much penalty in terms of CPU use.
Interesting little anecdote. After I'd been playing around with this for a couple of hours, I grabbed GForce Minimonsta from Novation for free. It lasted exactly 10 minutes before I started looking for an uninstaller. (It doesn't have one.) Even for free, MiniMonsta wasn't worth keeping after having played with Invader 2. I am absolutely lovin' it!

I hate the filter but those huge oscillators are great so I don't have any trouble finding uses for The Legend.v1o wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 3:49 pmIf my memory is correct. You don't like anything about the Minimoog and any of its emulations.
None of those things are of any interest to me and I already have The Legend. Who has time to even go through 6000+ patches to find the good ones?Examigan wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 11:02 pmMinimonsta has real-time morphing between up 12 patches by MIDI, 6,000+ patches, unison, external input, and much more.

I was playing around with this a bit more over the weekend and it's amazing how easy it is to dial up great sounds. I've already put it into a couple of songs where I hadn't been happy with a part or two and it's lifted those mixes with just a few minutes of tweaking (not twerking, that comes later).

Definitely agree with this one, though I have been able to get a thicker sound using LFO detuning.e-crooner wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 11:45 pm I like the 6-wave unison the most, it is lush and yet retains the definition better than the 6*8 mode.
Other than that, the workflow and sound from this synth is really good.

Before I try to get some help from Steinberg, I try again here in order to know if this behaviour happens on my system only or if it has to do with Cubase 11 Pro:
Is there any user using Invader in Cubase 11 Pro on Windows able to open and close the gui of Invader without freezing Cubase?
This is what happens on my system.
BTW It does not happen on Cubase 11 Elements, it seems to be particular to Cubase 11 Pro.
Unfortunately P.J. from e-phonic cannot test it because he does not have Cubase 11 Pro on his system, he can only test with Cubase Elements.
Please I need some answer only from user using Invader with Cubase 11 pro on Windows 10.
It does not really help to know that it is working with other DAWs

I guess I don't like "thick" to begin with, I want to hear the definition of the filter, which gets lost with voice stacking. Then again, I hate EDM, where thick sounds are common. But I don't consider Invader2 an EDM synth, but more of a Repro type of synth, albeit not an emulation of any particular hardware.fdigl wrote: Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:31 amDefinitely agree with this one, though I have been able to get a thicker sound using LFO detuning.e-crooner wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 11:45 pm I like the 6-wave unison the most, it is lush and yet retains the definition better than the 6*8 mode.

Sounds odd, I would have thought that the core of different Cubase versions is the same. If anything, one might expect the pro version to work better than some lite versionteacue wrote: Mon Jun 07, 2021 12:35 pm Before I try to get some help from Steinberg, I try again here in order to know if this behaviour happens on my system only or if it has to do with Cubase 11 Pro:

I wouldn't. The pro version isn't better code as much as it's more stuff. And the more stuff, the more possibilities for conflict.e-crooner wrote: Mon Jun 07, 2021 3:24 pm Sounds odd, I would have thought that the core of different Cubase versions is the same. Surely there must be consensus by now...

I'm kind of in an odd spot with this synth. I really do like Invader's core sound but I'm very well covered with other synths in the same category so it would most likely never it into a project. I just have too many other similar synths in my starting lineup.
But Invader falls squarely into the "patch and play" category where it would be fun to make patches and have a play just to enjoy it as a musical instrument so that's not a bad thing. I have a lot of synths that never make it into a project but are fun to patch and play including some freeware.
So I'd be embarrassed to pay what Invader would be worth to me because I don't want to insult e-phonic or undervalue his work.

I totally understand it might not be appealing for everyone.

Don't get me wrong, Invader 2 is very appealing to me as it sounds great, looks great. It's just that I have a folder stuffed full of other plugins with similar features that also sound great. It's getting harder and harder for new players to find a place in the starting lineup. But Invader 2 is still a fun plugin for me to play and patch.
I just wouldn't want to insult you or devalue your hard work with a low ball offer.
