The music is bad because people don't have the skills that the people who came before us did.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

The Good Lord, in his infathomable wisdom, gave men a d!ck and a brain, but not enough blood to use both simultaneously.TribeOfHǫfuð wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 11:43 am Yes, what is happening with the music? I asked this question decades ago referring to this music video:
Unfortunately I never got a comprehensible answer, more like "..erhm...mmm..aaah...hehe...eh...what music?"

I'd say the opposite is true. I see kids on youtube that have way more skills than any cock-rocker in the 70's or 80's.Aloysius wrote: Sun Jun 06, 2021 8:11 am The music is bad because people don't have the skills that the people who came before us did.

"because people don't"
which people? there is tremendous interest out there and young people way ahead of us in the day, who have the wisdom even in their youth to climb up on our backs, stand on our shoulders and get a wide and long view. and then expand on it.

Music in the 'good ole days'
It's anything by Patrick O'Hearn for me.
His music is rare genius.
Btw....the Orb imo is horrible drum machine music and samples. It's as interesting as watching paint dry.
