Diva effects section as a plugin, please?

I know myself and a whole lot of people want to be able to use the Diva plate reverb on our many other synth tracks or even other tracks in general. It’s an amazing reverb that is just perfect for synth tracks and nothing else out there compares to it. I can’t replicate it, and I have ton of reverb plugins like the Universal Audio lexicons 224 and 480L, all of the Valhalla DSP reverbs. None of them can give me that Diva plate reverb.
I know I’m speaking for a whole lot of people when I ask this, please create the effects section of Diva as separate plugin “Diva FX”, great name. Users will be wildly thankful and purchase it I know I would immediately. The code is already all written so there isn’t much work to do at all, and uh-e benefits from the sales of it. It’s a win/win for everyone, nobody loses. So as far as I can tell there really isn’t a reason to not make the diva effects section in a separate plugin or even just that plate reverb with all of the same controls, you could call it “DivaVerb”. I can assure you it would sell like hot cakes! So please please please, create the “DivaVerb”? Thanks for reading!

Yeah I could see that as a possibility just add DivaVerb to the FX bundle. It’s definitely it’s own unique reverb. For people like me that don’t want the bundle and don’t need it I’d hate to have to purchase the bundle just to get the Diva plate reverb. Plus a Diva wants to stand out on her own,
The Diva plate may honestly be one of the best plate reverbs I’ve ever heard. I would absolutely love to apply it to vocals and give that a shot, or try it on a snare drum. So many possibilities with the Diva plate reverb.

i.e.: loading DIVA as FX or midicontrolled-FX
and ditto for RePro
whereas some of repros fx are the standalone twangström and coco afaik

For people that actually voted no (probably just trolling), I know this sounds crazy, but pssst... *whisper* you don’t have to buy it, but don’t take the possibility of it away from the rest of us that want it, it’s called not being a dick.

You know you could be the dick for stealing valuable development from uhe for wishing diva fx instead of something new and more interesting….
I’m more the middle of the road guy and would like to have an additional diva fx plugin for the next big version like we have with zebra.
Cheers

I’m most certainly not a dick for suggesting it. If you thought it out before replying you would realize the code is already written for the reverb so no valuable time will be taken away from development at all, 95% of the work is already done. You should have thought out this very basic fact before replying and suggesting I’m a dick. All it needs is a simple GUI which could be done in a few hours. The entire process would probably take two days if that to create a separate plugin of the Diva plate reverb, I already thought it all out before even making this post or I wouldn’t have made it asking (where as you didn’t even take a minute to think before replying). You do want to have that gorgeous reverb available to be able to be used on any of the synths you want in a project right? No is not a very wise reply, especially considering what I just explained to you which shouldn’t have required me explaining it at all. I’m assuming you’re not dumb and should have been able to come to that very basic conclusion yourself before saying what you did. You would have saved yourself time and saved me from wasting my time having to reply.hlecram wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 8:58 amNebulaBlack wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 12:37 am For people that actually voted no (probably just trolling), I know this sounds crazy, but pssst... *whisper* you don’t have to buy it, but don’t take the possibility of it away from the rest of us that want it, it’s called not being a dick.![]()

There is always someone that thinks they are wiser and smarter that’s going to leave a dumb comment (I supposed every post needs one). Congratulations you made yourself that someone and all you had to do was take a minute to think before replying to this thread with what you replied with.
I’m trying to get uh-e to do something that would benefit all of us and for some reason there are always people like you that for no reason, and completely illogically, come in unwanted trying to sabotage a good thing. And I’m the “dick”. Yeah ok.

Something like this could easily turn into a 3-6 months endeavour for half the team, it's not a simple as you assume.
Diva's user base is substantial, you can expect large amounts of feature requests coming in, should we ever mention such plans anywhere. You might be satisfied with "just the FX as they are" separate from Diva, others might not. We ourselves might have a long feature request list ourselves, who knows. It would need a browser, it would need presets, so sound designers need to get involved. It would need testing. It would need to be a product that we want to support for 10+ years, so it might get a bit bigger (as in "more interesting for us"), receive extra features, extra modulation stuff. It would need a product page, demo tracks, it would need a marketing budget.
All of this would need to be taken into consideration.
Sorry, NebulaB, it's not that simple.

Did you read what you wrote yourself in the first place, including the word “dick”!? Take a look at the choices of your survey. At first I did not took it too seriously and thought it was just for the sake of fun, but the bigger your walls of text become, the more I am convinced that you are the not so clever genital.
You are just plain considering everyone an asshole who is not jumping on your train.
If you thought that I’m trying to play the wise man, then you certainly did not at least try to get my point. Please feel free to ask further questions and I’m willing to explain things but don’t start to throw shit around if you are not able to handle it when it comes back.
You said that you thought everything through and through beforehand and presenting it as fact, which turns out to be quite the opposite as the uhe dev stated.
I had the suspicion that I was on the right track when I said something along the lines of “valuable dev time” and implied that I’m open to the idea but would like to see it handled rather differently for now.
To make things clear, I’m not here to fight with you or trying to change your mind. I’m lusting for this stuff as the next one but it doesn’t brings us any further if we are not able allow other opinions.
Peace
Marcel

It’s not that simple? There is no need for marketing. There was nothing done for the tyrel synth and that was free. All this needs is a simple GUI with a preset browser. There are no frills needed. You guys don’t have a template for the preset browser? A GUI template? I’m sure you used them when creating the Uhbik plugins right? I find it really hard to believe that this would be a 3-6 month project for the entire team, especially since the code is already written. There would be no marketing needed except maybe some posts on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc), word of mouth and sharing of posts covers a lot of ground. A small splash screen on the main page, and you guys are set. I think you might be overthinking it by a lot.The unshushable Coktor wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 11:55 am Something like this could easily turn into a 3-6 months endeavour for half the team, it's not a simple as you assume.

You know The unshushable Coktor works at U-he right? You think the company that's been successfully doing this for years and years is overthinking this? You think they don't know what they're talking about? You think they can just quickly crap out plugins and support them for years to come, and don't have anything else to work on? Or that they'd even enjoy quickly crapping out a plugin like that? If anything, when he says it's a 3-6 month project, he's probably under-estimating.NebulaBlack wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 4:19 pm I think you might be overthinking it by a lot.

You're welcome to start your own plugin company and show them how it's done then. Otherwise, you may want to calm down and listen to the people who do this for a living.
