...and I was just thinking of finally buying Bitwig after years of holding off. Guess I'll stick with Tracktion after all. I can't have this type of thing happen particularly at this price point.

Same issue here, same window, etc., both with BWS 4 Beta 2, and BWS 3.3.9. Quite disturbing. I was eating dinner when it occurred and came down to the errant screen remark.
I sent a note to support today (6-9-21). I wonder if it's related somehow to what happened this morning at Fastly:

I can't imagine how they could be connected, but the coincidence is kind of striking.

I'm kind of thinking the same thing; the Fastly issue happening the same day is just a bit too much coincidence, you think? At least, it's a possibility.pseudonym_303 wrote: Wed Jun 09, 2021 1:13 amJust guessing, unusual coincidence though. Several websites had problems today: stackoverflow, github, paypal, nytimes. Maybe bitwig is among them.userno38 wrote: Wed Jun 09, 2021 12:29 amSo what's the service in this case? Fastly?pseudonym_303 wrote: Wed Jun 09, 2021 12:27 am But you know that currently most companies ate using 3rd party services to authenticate, authorize and manage the session.
Cheers

Then again, the UFO (I'm sorry: UAP) explanation IS attractive....

This is almost certainly a result of the Fastly CDN network problems that impacted Amazon, Paypal, Twitch, etc yesterday. Too much coincidence for it to be something else.
Not much Bitwig can do to resolve the problem, but they really should build in some resilience to these kind of issues. Production software should not have this happen. Imagine having a tight deadline looming and the software tells you that you can't continue!
