3qO wrote: Tue Jun 08, 2021 2:19 pm It looks like Arturia released FX Collection 2 which now includes 22 plugins instead of 15. Price is 299€ until June 25. I own Fx Collection 1 and my upgrade cost 69€:

Thanks for sharing! :tu:

While I don't use Arturia FX plugins, surprisingly, the offer for me is only $99.

I own V Collection 7, Pigments 3 and Chorus JUN-6, and I think this is an insane deal by Arturia.
Insane indeed! I own the same as you plus FX 1 and they are asking €49 for the upgrade. That’s for 3 plug-ins vs €99 for 22.
Does anyone know if these crossgrades are freely transferrable or if there are any strings attached?
It is a bit uncertain, but what I have understood is that as long as any product has the option "unregister product" under it, it is freely transferable. If it is linked to some product, it will say upgrade/crossgrade and will not have this button at all. If in doubt, best to check with support.

Also, note that once you unregister a product, you will receive an email about the same, and you cannot register it again to the same account (not without taking help of Arturia support). If this was a mistake and you did not want to do it, to avoid taking help from support, what you could do is set up a second account, register it there, and then again unregister and register it back to your main account.

Technically not true, since the first two "any plugin for $29.99" offers didn't exclude Shadow Hills Class A or DearVR Pro, though iirc all those after have. Doubt it will be that low again for a long time though.

I had forgotten about that. One of them was the Feb 26-29 2020 Leap Year sale. I don't recall the other one where you could buy the Shadow Hills Class A for $29.99. The Halloween 2020 $29.99 sale could be used with DearVR Pro, but excluded the Shadow Hills Class A.

If you own the Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor, it was (is?) possible to upgrade to the Shadow Hills Class A for $99,99. With a $75 monthly loyalty voucher, it comes to $24.99 which is what I paid for it in January 2020.

Can someone confirm that it's still possible to upgrade from the Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor to the Shadow Hills Class A for $99? I can't check since I already own both.

Looks like it was just the Leap Year sale, during which they gave everyone on the mailing list 2 "get any plugin for $29.99" vouchers. Glad I got Shadow Hills Class A then even though iirc someone in this thread was warning people not to get it just because it's on sale. It's held up well for me against other compressor plugins... beating out Acustica in blind shoot-outs.

Some important fine print:

"this version of Liquid Rhythm has not been maintained for compatibility on newer platforms, and depending on your configuration you may run into problems.

Liquid Rhythm 1.4.5 is not compatible with Ableton Live 10 Suite or Live 11 Suite as a Max For Live Device (AMXD). Liquid Rhythm 1.4.5 VST/AU plugins are, however, still compatible in Live 10 and 11. Liquid Rhythm 1.4.5 is not compatible on macOS Big Sur or on the Apple Silicon ARM64 chipset.
Liquid Rhythm 1.4.5 is compatible on macOS Catalina, though your usage compatibility may vary depending on the compatibility of your DAW(s), and may require further configuration for full compatibility. . . .

Liquid Rhythm is not available as an AAX plugin, only as RTAS, meaning that Liquid Rhythm is not supported as a plugin in Pro Tools 11 and higher (though the Liquid Rhythm standalone application may be used in conjunction with a Pro Tools session).

. . . if you run into compatibility problems, we suggest giving Liquid Music 1.7.0 a try instead. Liquid Music contains an updated version of Liquid Rhythm"

This really isn't cheap though, even with the current discount, so I'm wondering if it's worth it. Can I get some input/recommendations from you guys? I think the Sound Editor is the major difference between the Editor and Studio version. Maybe there are cheaper tools on the market doing the same thing as the Melodyne Sound Editor?
The big difference imho is that you can do editing multitrack (though the sound editor looks cool)... if you’re mostly synths and a vocal track, probably not really worth it, but I had a project where I had to sync a vocal to an offtime guitar... seeing them together helped a lot (warping would be fine for this except there’s no multitrack view... usually you’d just line each against the beat, but he was playing with timing a bit, so not exactly on the beats, it sounded natural, and I didn’t want to lose that)
Thanks chroma, I read about the multitrack feature but failed to see the benefits. Your explanation made it a lot clearer to me and this makes the upgrade a lot more tempting for sure!

Yeah...I was interested and looked at the vids on YT before I saw this. At least they were clear

Surprise. Big Al would cost me $5 more during this "sale" than with a monthly voucher. Just another PA sale to skip.
Optimal number of audio plugins is one more than you currently have.

Everybody, please don't write SOLD behind your plugin in the Sell & Buy section. Nobody cares what you sold. The feedback thread is for sold items. Thanks!
If you plan on purchasing your first Universal Audio hardware, you can get a free additional plugin. Just send a PM.

I think if they're marked sold and the price is left then that can be useful when judging a plugins market value. But maybe move them down away from the still available stuff for sure.

Also, what's even more ridiculous is that some guys bump up their topics just to say the item(s) is (are) sold. Please stop doing this.
