Sure, but this does not mean they are mutually exclusive. Every nerd knows that.

it can mean that one is more interesting than the other. it's all the same to me, just sayin'
and logically is one if interesting per se and the other isn't, at the least we'll have to strain a bit for the overlap
but kidding aside, I made the right choice for me in entirely skipping it. life is short

You haven't lived until you've made a cocktail kit out of synares. (not a proper cocktail kit of course, just code for a very small kit that you can pick up with one hand)donkey tugger wrote: Fri Jun 11, 2021 3:02 amHad a part share in a Pearl kit in the early 90s. It was average sounding, but the orange sparkliness more than made up for it. I so miss playing the drums
. I should buy an electronic kit and spray it sparkly orange.
Related: If you want to know how annoying electronic sounds really are, just hand out more than one synare at a party for guests to play. Everyone thinks that they're Kraftwerk.

Well, I have another opinion on that. I see great potential lost here. What a classical composer you could have been. I blame the 70s (in which I was a kiddo), acid, and Hendrix in particular. This is what happens when you get into bad company that early (not to mention Vurt later). You should have had such an indulgent teacher as Aloys aka Fux. He does not spank you with a stick if you make errors, he has already foreseen them and know you will, but for quite logical reasons: You cannot make it right, before you grasp counterpoint in its entirety. Given the amount of screw ups Joseph makes all through Gradus (he is like a personification of Murphy's law), you realise the wisdom of Fux's approach: Respect your teacher, listen, learn, adabt, obey, conform, practise as you are told (oh the music of these words) and your relation will be among the sacred ones. When graduated, you can always screw Fux from behind regarding the parallel 5s og 8s like Mozart, Bach and Haydn did (and eventually everyone else during the 19th and 20th century). Jan, isn't it time for a 180 degree life turn?

bwhahaha. fux can do the thing on his own ass.
I WAS the bad company, and your parents' - shit probably my own parents' and they were kind of chill - worst nightmare.
When authoritarians build a secret prison for musicrime, I'm exactly the reason they have those notions. I'm in violation of Community Standards even
