How do I change the curve/sound of the distortion/harmonics in the Blue Cat plug-in examples, for use in my own plug-ins?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Sorry if this topic is too generalized for my question, I mean no offense to the forum here, and while I'm at it, I guess I'll try to ask this question:
How do I design custom Biquad, FIR, IIR, FFT, etc. Filters inside of Plugn'Script, or is that not possible? What can I do with Filters in Plugn'Script
Thanks again.

You can do pretty much anything with Plug'n Script. However these are more general DSP-related questions that may take a couple of pages to answer!
Regarding your initial question, you can modify the code of the existing scripts, and for the distortion sample, you can change the formula used for shaping the waveform in the process function with whatever you like.

Thanks. I take it that you mean the same for the Biquad Filters also (I actually am a total novice newbie). Do you mean that I can modify the library folder, or can I do all of these custom things (Filter design, distortion modification) in just the script editor?

If it is the script editor where I would make changes, can you quickly tell me what values to change for Filters and Distortions?

Actual, I mean wherever the changes would need to be (script editor, library folder, wherever).

If you want to do your own filters there is a lot of basic info here:

You should indeed keep the library folder unchanged and write your own scripts in your documents folder (you can use "save as" to copy factory scripts into your documents folder and start from there).Minisonic wrote: Tue Jun 15, 2021 5:49 am It’s best not to touch the library folder as changes made there ma break other scripts that use those libraries.

So, do you mean when I copy the factory scripts, I'm actually copying the scripts from the library folder, and modifying those?

If you open a factory script the first thing you should do is save it somewhere else before you modify it. If you want to modify files in the library folder first make copies and only modify the copies.Plugins!!Plugins!! wrote: Tue Jun 15, 2021 3:02 pm So, do you mean when I copy the factory scripts, I'm actually copying the scripts from the library folder, and modifying those?

Hello again. Can I use the Default Skins/Images from Plugn'Script in my own plug-ins that I would sell/giveaway, or should I create my own?

Sure, the graphics included in the exported plug-in can be used for these purposes!
