some of the M4L devices are based on Mutable Instruments, other seems to 'wrap' them, so, they are ports. others are, i repeat based on.. one or two are original.

but for the prices;

Wow- that's some really good stuff- I have a lot of those modules in hardware (Tides, Plaits, Clouds) so it will be interesting to play with them...and it will cost me a lot less than buying the hardware did!

Really cool to see some of the parasites firmware ported over (that the one I use in Clouds) and also VCV modules ported as MAX!

Will try a few of these this weekend, thanks for the link--- I had a quick look and I cant see a MAX 8 thread on KVR...I know MAX has its own forum, but it would be really cool to even have a MAX forum on KVR (M4L, new modules, learning MAX etc), I have found some amazing new stuff just from this thread!
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S49MK2, Studio One, BWS, Live 12. PUSH 3 SA, Osmose, Summit, Pro 3, Prophet8, Syntakt, Digitone, Drumlogue, OP1-F, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Nord Drum3P, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

€6,66 (+VAT when VAT is needed..)

an update for live 11 will come, but it will work of course, the update for live 11 will include new options, i guess, special to v11..
I am hoping Ableton implement this to get full use of the screen, its so bloody obvious it needs doing!
I would much rather the used the buttons and knobs more so they can be labelled (I can never remember what unlabelled pads do!) and just use the pads for moving around and selection

That volume and pitch tool is the timeline is cool as well, again- Ableton!!?

yes, also one or two VCV modules! and nice ports from MI. nice to have them also in ableton, native...

yes indeed a version, variant on Clouds. me like.

i get my info via Facebook, yes... Max For Live Users, a lot of developers, or a lot... and users of course, that share links... it is indeed a goldmine...

so i port my info to this thread...

there is a M4L thread here, also got me something, but it isn't that a-live...

an update by the way for live 11, will come or not.. but it works of course for live 11, all the things you can do, i believe, in live 10.

and indeed! why doesn't Ableton does this. it can be done!!!! with the screen, look at Maschine MK3.... like it how they did that for Maschine MK3 (and Maschine+, i only have Maschine Mk3 + Jam...).

i didn't tried it yet, because only next week i am able to work in ableton (why? able - ableton...), then i will buy this one, the ports....

why can't ableton be not more able, to integrate more in the Push 2. it is all there, get a programmer...
but i work mostly in session view. of course an arrangment will be made.. and indeed, Push 2, only for the mix, and does it represent audio tracks?? in arrangment mode.

(and it does not have even stop/forward/rew/pause.... o well... still use the Push 2 a lot, when i am working with live 11 suite).

and make SIMPLER simple MPE!!

This one is a ton of fun and totally free (although tempting me to buy the full pack ;-))
beautifully implemented control and display on PUSH 2, It really is like using a new hardware toy (also works with most launchpads...)

I love experimental music but that just sounds terrible to me.. I could cook up similar sounds in literally 2 mins in Bitwig so why is it interesting even if it is free?

Because Bitwig is not free for Live's users :dog:
MuLab-Reaper of course :D

Bitwig has the granular mode in sampler which is very cool but quite limited until you start messing with it in the grid and with modulators, using Lives native Granular 2 is often easier and lovely mapping and perfect with PUSH.

Vector Grain is also free and native with Live...one of my faveroute MIDI instrument, is a granular looper. ..someone may be able to make this in Bitwig, I couldn't!

nice mangler. thanks for the link. stretchy hipno toad sounds and whatever source dependent discoveries that might be stumbled upon

Post

Will admit that Live's M4L granular stuff is really good for mangling sounds while Bitwig kinda touches the surface. Even Grain from Reason is better granular synthesis than bitwig's stock devices

Yes, there is a lot of granular and left field stuff in Live now, a lot was introduced with the new 'inspired by nature' packs in Live 11. Reason also has some great instruments, although if I could have anything from Reason it would be the pitch correction and quantise...editing audio like midi.

Now Live and Bitwig both have comping, they both need this to be 'complete' in my opinion. Every other DAW can do this...Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, Reason and even FL Studio...I hope Ableton have this as a next priority and I hope it just shows up on the midi grid like Reason.

Which one is based on Plaits?

Indeed, it's pretty special! The quality of the algorithm easily rivals Melodyne and the workflow & integration are way ahead of e.g. Studio One where it feels "tacked on".

I really hope Bitwig & Live go the Reason route, especially if they'd try to extend it with some creative features like they usually do in their devices & workflow.
