Variations on a theme perhaps? eg. Building a bunch of amps and you want consistency of routing. Just a guess as my organizational skills are somewhat akin to dropping toothpicks and looking for a specific one.

I think you're right. Problem is, I can never seem to get it to work that way. I'm just going off the series of windows that pop up during the process and it seems to me that you could, say, pick and editor type (or other MP setting(s)) and apply that across a bunch of MPs.
But, I've noticed that it's ability to do this is extremely strict as the MPs that are being changed have to, at least, match in terms of name. Meaning if you have a specific settings for your steps in say a step sequencer, all 32 (or however many you use) need to be setup in advance with names that match the names in the saved template. And if that's the case... copying and pasting whole sections of MPs from other devices that have similar attributes is a much faster means of transplanting MP settings.
Idk. This is all observation. I literally tried to use this yesterday, for the first time in forever, and was stumped..
Food for thought edit: Maybe some sort of "Macro" implemntation might be useful. Say, you have x# of MPs and you want to change one setting in all of them, you could select them all and change the setting on one and it be applied to all. That would be SUPER helpful, for me atleast.

I use MP Manager all the time to control groups, reorder stuff etc. But templates, these are very very rare. Main use is to make multiple "devices" compatible with each either. I create, make it "perfect", export it as template, and import it to other devices and the engine makes everything exactly the same (order..-wise). But it's rare...
