Exactly, but two buttons can be a big strain on your brain sometimes
Apparently not as big of a brain strain as being an Orion beta tester is to you Krim.
Meaning?

Teksonik wrote: As for the Styles/Preset issue,a simple "You are about to load a Style.Do you wish to continue" dialog box would suffice. I prefer to use the mouse for all commands, I don't like using keyboard "shortcuts". And yes I can use the mouse for Udo but still a workaround
Just dont go into the Styles folder then, keep it at the bottom of your menu, its quite easy, and just as easy to undo if you accidently do, so stop moaning

Does that work? Because it doesn't on the beta I'm using. Once its overwritten, its gone for good.

Rich isn't interested in coding a recording device. He never was. He was pressured into it and I don't think he wants to do it any more. I would be surprised if he ever does any more work on it, its just not his thing.

Edit>Undo Pattern Edit has worked for a long time on the betas.

I have to agree here. For pure soft synth studio work, Orion is hard to beat.. but it's not for audio work, and was never meant to be. All the audio stuff is an add-on.. and kind of kludgy at that.

Horses for course folks.

Yep, it works. Both ctrl-x for undo and ctrl-y for redo work perfectly. The styles folder (as mentioned) can be renamed to be first or last in the preset list. Once again, it's not that big a deal.

Or it can be deleted altogether, the first thing I did after I accidentally overwrote a pattern.

That is another alternative.

I like the new styles. Not a revolution, but wonderful for quick listening, mixing styles (what a bad pun). Will test the new delay now :-). On my PC, strange enough, the writing (loading, slice-button and so on) of the sampler is nearly invisible now :-o. In fact it turned to the left about 1-2cm and you just can see the folder-button (load) and nothing more... Only in the sampler, and in no other prog I run, EnergyXT or Tracktion or others, all's well there, as with WaspXT and all the others in Orion. Any clues??? Installed the latest nvidia graphics, driver, but can that be a problem???

EDIT: problem solved by Kriminal. Don't think anyone using Orion would run into it, but anyway: I used the AZURA skin from Orion-center-website, and with the default skin there is no problem (as with the user-skin and 5.5 was none).

Anyway, fine update... I don't use the audio-things in Orion much too, but concerning sales it wouldn't be a bad idea in my opinion if Rich would do something there. I know, Reason has no audio-rec. Just a guess, maybe it wouldn't be bad for a "all in one"-solution.
All in all extremely nice, and the new screamer-features are worth a look too.

I don't use the audio recording either. Should I ever do a tune in Orion that I need audio, I'll just rewire it to Cubase.

Same here, i just use Soundforge for any audio recording editing.

So I rather think there'll be no better audio in Orion as nearly nobody needs it.

not to say I didn't need it; but the way it is now is almost useless.

I can't see ho wit could ever be more useful than COOL EDIT 2000 so I just don't see the point, especially with the link to your favourite audio editor on the right-click menu.
