MXXX 6out/6in6out strange behavior/bugs

I've been trying to use the MXXX 6in6out version in Bitwig to route 6 outs from XLN XO into 6 channels of MXXX and then back out on 6 channels, which doesn't seem possible currently since Bitwig only allows for 2 inputs, main + SC

so I gave up and loaded up an MXXX6out to see what I could do with just the two inputs, when Bitwig started showing that the MX6out was actually getting input/outputting the 6 channels from XO, even when I added a volume Tool -inf dB to mute anything in between the two plugs

I tried adding FX to the lanes in MX6out but it wasn't actually processing anything but the 2 channel stereo combination of all 6 outputs, and even then, it acts quite strangely and inconsistently, sometimes it will allow audio through, sometimes it just kills all the audio completely, and doesn't even display that it has input/output on the meters

by contrast, MXXX 6in6out does none of the above and only ever allows stereo in.

the fact that Bitwig actually shows the separate 6 channels of audio is super encouraging that it might be possible to do multi in/out in Bitwig, maybe even without tedious manual routing of all 6 channels, but I have no idea what is going on here, definitely seems buggy

I'm not so sure how to understand, but note that the behaviour of MXXX6in6out is different than MXXX6out, because the 6 in version routes the inputs differently (not sure if that answers the question). Perhaps some settings would be helpful. I always test in Reaper, which implements all interfaces well (as opposed to Bitwig), so if there is some weird routing situation, I'd recommend letting Bitwig guys know.
