Enough is enough... Sold my Traction and bought Cubase SL-3. What a refreshing experience... - LOVE IT! It has everything I could wish for (and then some more)... simply BRILIANT...

you do what you can for what you wish for. You don't have a long wait under my estimations for T2. Im glad you followed what you wanted.

yeah, I think most of us have by now switched to another host or are in the process of doing it or are at least flirting with another sequencer.
:-) (well apart from Valley of course :hihi: )

The positive side effect of it is for me that I am far more relaxed than I've been when I've depending
on Tracktion. (was that a correct english phrase? :? ) :-D

Post

yes you're correct. For me, I'm perfectly fine with Tracktion, I just find some easy easy workarounds for my issues, and everything works out.

Yeah, I got sick of waiting too. I'm shopping around now. I know I'll have something new by Christmas.

Am i dislocated?

your english is very good.. this is only slightly wrong.. id say:

"The positive side effect of it for me <edit "is" doh  > that I am far more relaxed than I was when i depended on Tracktion."

Yes: for me i suppose its a race between eXT getting the features i need.. and T2 arriving. May the best seq win :)

I'd be using FL much of the time if it weren't for the horrid dark interface and my ever failing eyesight.

T works well enough though that for what little tiome I have to do music I can get done what I need.

I hate to admit that I'm spending about 80% of my time in OPlat, and using Tracktion to handle mastering/finalization work when I'm down to pure audio.

Me, I got tired of waiting too. I'm saving up for SONAR4 Producer, since I expect I might need to do some surround-sound stuff next year. :-o

I'm not dissing Tracktion, it's wonderful, but I'm starting to need things it doesn't support well. Sigh. :(

I think jens english was more correct...

and what's this tracktion doohickey you're all yabbering on about?

I'm not budging. Tracktion is great and I use it every day. All I want is some freggin ghost clips and cycle record and folder tracks! Is that too much to ask? I never in my life thought it would take this long. Even Reason 3 is hinting that it might come out soon. But anyways like I sayd I'm sticking around. The Tracktion stability and workflow is great for me. Keep up the good work Jules. :)

I would never go back to CubaseSX. Unless Tracktion dissapeared from the face of the earth. But thats good that you found something better for you. Use what ever lets you make the most music. :)

thanks Cbit and Glurgle :-)

Originally my problem wasn't the tempus - I've been wondering if it is depending 'on' of' or 'from' - so I this correctly -but yes, the tempusd is wrong

I treid to use the gerund and messed it all up :-o

I think a proper sentence should be:

'The positive side effect of it is for me that I am far more relaxed that I had been while I depended on Tracktion' - what do you think? :-)

Post

In conversational English, probably something like this:

"The positive side effect for me is that I am far more relaxed than when I depended on Tracktion."

Fewer words usually are better. :)

I just don't get it...

It's like everyone just wants it simply because they want something new. It's this whole culture we have here, ya know? Can't watch TV without switching channels a million times... people aren't listening to whole albums anymore. I just wish people would relax and quit looking for the next big thing and just chill for a while with what's good. ;)

Tracktion is working great for me... no signs of switching here! I wish people who are pressuring for an update would just shut it, because:

a) if you've already switched sequencers, why bother posting in this forum that you did so? Go have fun with your new sequencer, and may it make your songwriting abilities soar. It's not a very big man that needs to rub somebody's face in something.

b) I, for one, still want a properly working piece of software, and I'd rather use my (very stable) Tracktion while waiting for T2. I don't want to be happy when T2 comes out only to discover that it was rushed and doesn't work quite right.

timewastin-- you are NOT dislocated. I can't use eXT as my full-time sequencer, either. Too many things interrupt my personal workflow in that particular sequencer. I still encourage anybody and everybody to buy it for a variety of other reasons, but as a main sequencer I've yet to give that advice.
