It's not a problem, your work is impressive! Yes, as I have a £50 rewards voucher for the Reason shop it seems like a good deal- I was actually just waiting to see what the summer sale would be, but I think I will get the best value from the Re version for now, especially as I can use it as a VST in the rack anyway...I know a lot of people, said its better to buy the full version, but I think as I haver the voucher the Re makes more sense for me and maybe one day it will be updated with more 'back panel' CV control.phreaque wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 9:28 amI'm just one of many other creative designers, never intend to promote myself here though.SLiC wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 9:15 am A lot of them seem to be done by you
There are so many great Synths available and I already have Rapid and Avenger....even in the sale this is still 180 USD with VAT, its not exactly a no brainer, but I may pick up the Re as I have Reason rewards and can get it for £49.
The Reason variant is definitely the right deal for you apparently, you won't regret it

There are CV inputs for all VSTs in Reason DAWRikkShow wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 3:16 am ALL REs are already High-Res, but it hasn't been enabled in Reason DAW, but it will now starting with v12.
Work-flow is slightly different in the RE: The Step mod and Arp is split between two windows to jump between. A mild annoyance, but MUCH less so now that I can look at in 140% or 200% magnification. The mod matrix shows one mod/slot at the time, and you have to step through to the next slot. So, not as fluent as having them all visible on one page.
CPU wise: It seems the RE takes up a load as if it is set to a fixed buffer of 64. It doesn't change CPU load if you got to a buffer of say 512. A heavy patch is 10-15% on my Ryzen 9.
The VST sucks up the same CPU at a buffer of 64, but uses around half at 512.
It seems ReSpire inside RRP and in Cubase is slightly more than the VST. (no exact science, just looking at my CPU meter)
The RE gives you CV inputs and Combinator modulation. No CV type modulation on the VST obviously.
You obviously know you have to pay more for the VST.
I have not encountered bugs in ReSpire, but I heard there were bugs in the past, so I'm assuming they are fixed, but I may be incorrect here, though I have no issues, not ever...
I believe Reveal could use the newest RE SDK and design panels like on the VST and fix the UI work-flow issues, but I'm assuming it is a lot of re-coding, and perhaps not a good return on investment. But it should be possible.
When you a vst open the editor and you'll have a host of cv inputs you can map to other controls

Unfortunately always with some introduced bugs with each update, as of late...
The bug that init patches which have been changed can't be initialized anymore when you click the init button again still hasn't been fixed.

Thanks glad to hear that
True, good approach if looking at it from this aspect.... but I think as I haver the voucher the Re makes more sense for me and maybe one day it will be updated with more 'back panel' CV control.

Since five minutes I'm also a proud owner of Spire.
The "Dune 3 vs Sylenth 1 vs Seum for techno/trance" - thread got me to test Spire again. Test passed.

Spire has been so much fun. I got it in January and they continue to make updates. And new libraries coming out almost every day. It sounds beautiful.
Sale going on right now, too.

I ended up buying the VST version rather then the Re...it is indeed a lovely sound and I have had the 'white noise' demo on my machine for ages...so it was time!
I hope at some point the add MPE and have a bit more visual feedback as to what's going on with the modulation...

Does the 'Click Removal' option work? I can't hear actually a difference....
And yes, my ears are fine. I was at the ear specialist today.

Interesting, I didn't expect this.
To me, Spire is a little bit more clicky than other soft synths with AMP Env attack set to zero. Because of fast envelopes? I don't know....
