You can't *buy* it until August, but you can demo it now.

The 2098 EQ that this is based on is currently on sale at $39.99, and there is a $20.00 voucher, so $19.99. It also has TMT and THD.
It wouldn't have the compressor - but isn't this most of the channel strip?

Not really. The draw of a channel strip workflow is to have all the main tools per channel you are likely to use - EQ, compression, gates etc in one place. The 2098 is just an EQ, are you wouldn't put it on all channels and you'd also need to put other plugins to handle other tasks - at which point you're not doing a channel strip workflow at all - the workflow is really the point.
I expect the EQ sounds pretty similar though, so if you only care about the EQ, it might be a good substitute...

THD is basically soft-clipper, non oversampled. (i had it for a while)._leras wrote: Wed Jun 30, 2021 12:54 pm The 2098 EQ that this is based on is currently on sale at $39.99, and there is a $20.00 voucher, so $19.99. It also has TMT and THD.

I don't actually use any of the plugins I buy, I just fill my screens with them and stare at their pretty colors for hours on end with a vacuous grin on my face.jasonekratz wrote: Sun Jun 27, 2021 8:56 pmTotally agree. Want to buy this just because I love how it looks.

If you can afford a Lamborghini like Dirk, you should also have enough money to afford a good programmer. I don't think Dirk has programmed himself, so the quality of the plugin could be good.
This has nothing to do with PA but I don't like these channel strips. The cluttered interface of the Amek alone makes me not want to use it. The workflow is just not my thing, especially since I hardly use compressor, gate, etc. anyway. I would probably only use the EQ

But a McLaren should be similar in price to a Lamborghini, probably around $200,000? Seems to be going well at Brainworx
So everybody should buy the Amek so that Dirk can afford new seat covers as well

It supposed to be totally different EQ than the one in 9099. Apparently, they wrote new EQ for the Channel Strip. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's 1:1 the same thing_leras wrote: Wed Jun 30, 2021 12:54 pm The 2098 EQ that this is based on is currently on sale at $39.99, and there is a $20.00 voucher, so $19.99. They're both absolutely different, I mean, look at those 8Khz shelf curves... they really fine-tuned the new one to the top. The game has been changed again. I mean, Di*k is well known for never copy/paste code and innovate 100% with each plugin, everyone knows that, right?pixel85 wrote: Wed Jun 30, 2021 4:08 pmIt supposed to be totally different EQ than the one in 9099. Money saving lifehack - make screengrabs from the plugin developer's website, and you can enjoy them all permanently - even ones that aren't available for your DAW/platform.
