I am looking at the Empirical Labs sale. 120$ off of the Arouser/Big Freq bundle (228$ instead of $348). Any opinions on that?

My opinion is that it’s very expensive considering the prices of the plugins on the market right now.

Anyone got a Native Instruments voucher I can snag? Not sure if it'll work on what I want but it's worth a try. TIA.

Have many issues to fix here, so I decided to vent some frustration to the nth upgrade email received (and disregarded) from Sonarworks, by replying to their new SUMMER SALE email. Obviously that was received froma no-reply email address. Hence I copy it here, someone may find interesting to vent his to them or to my response:

Dear Kat,

Do notice that buying a;
SoundID Reference for Speakers & Headphones (is)
$169.00

However for those longtime Sonarworks customers who bought the headphones versions 2, 3 or 4 who want to upgrade for that very same Speakers & Headphone SoundID tool... which hopefully would bring a REAL new tool to invest upon.

In those cases it is needed to; 1rst acquire the upgrade to SoundID for Headphones for $29
PLUS, secondly acquire another upgrade from SoundID for Headphones to SoundID for Headphones & Studio costing $110;
Totaling $149.

Comparing the buy new price with the two upgrades required for longtime customers. We find that their(our) early investment decision, forums participation, customer feedback, etc history, IN THIS SALE is valued to $20 only???

Thus, no incentive for me in this discriminatory 2021 SUMMER SALE, and probably similar angle happens to those who have until now held from updates, whom probably have been unsure to update if for anything, because of the long standing Sonarworks reported bugs... quite in contrast to the perceived situation from market manufacturer newcomers offering alternative creative solutions.

Were this upgrade closer to the $80 figure or less (which adds to the original Sonarworks 2, 3 and 4 purchase price of $60), then such sale would show loyalty promotion from Sonarworks. In which case I would consider its budgeting, instead of deterring such acquisition until the pandemic passes, a better SW offer comes along or a different product/price makes it unavoidable the sooner.

BEst,

From Studio reference 4, that is

This therapy works though. Have just spotted my summing mistake; $110 + $29 = $139
So Sonarworks values our previous headphone investment in $30 (not $20), not that bad, still far from loyally good.

The thing is why we usually see that "coming down" segments, like in this case those who originally bought SW Studio reference and are adding now the headphones part, tend to have proportionally larger discounts... as compared with those "coming up" segments, whom may have to do a larger budget stretch to acquire the bigger tools, in this case the headphones reference customers upgrading to SoundID Headphones & Studio?
