This had been expectable. Cherry Audios brand new Memorymode supports MPE…

Thanks, Tj. I've just added it to the Recommended Sounds page.

I came across another one: Bleass Alpha Synthesizer for iOS:

Didn’t try it, and have the strong feeling I got enough already. I tend to stick to a few anyway…

I've added Bleass Alpha to the Recommended Sounds page's MPE listing.

Tracktions f.'em isn't listed yet. Tracktion has now a nice collection of MPE synths...

I've added Tracktion F.'em to the Recommended Sounds page.

Hi,

The Sequential Prophet-6 and OB-6 do not respond correctly to pressure/Z in MPE mode: the Aftertouch is not applied per voice but globally and since there are 6 streams of (Channel) Aftertouch coming in, it starts glitching between all incoming Aftertouch values.

In standard mode, polyphonic aftertouch works just fine.

Sequential confirmed this as a bug and added it to their internal bug list for the Prophet 6/OB-6.

Post

Disappointing. Hope they fix it.

Arturia seemed to have learned their lesson. The new SQ80 V supports MPE. Lets hope for future updates to the other Vs...
And Cherry Audios new Mercury-4 does MPE as well, which was expectable... Cherry learned a different lesson, the aliasing problem of other emulations seemed to be tackled. Its a very nice sounding and dead cheap synth...

I've added these to the Recommended Sounds page, and I've added a note about the Sequential bug to the entry about the MPE update for Prophet-6 and OB-6.

Thanks. I will update if this issue gets resolved.

I just spotted an mpe hardware synth that I never heard of before: The Witch by Rebel Technology.

I like the form factor. A little sparse on details and sound examples though.

Did some digging. There are some videos on this page:

Here's one featuring the LinnStrument:

Cheers!

I've just added Witch to the Recommended Sound page MPE listing.

This looks really interesting, it can even be programmed and could interact with the modulars… If I ever get into hardware synths again this could be it…
