MXXX: Anyone created something similar to Soundspot Nevo clipper?

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what Nevo is doing. The curve control seems to be tilting on the way into a clipper, then un-tilting afterward perhaps.

There also appear to be both a multiband and a single band clipper, but it's interface is absurd with no metering, etc

Has anyone worked out exactly what some of the other controls are doing? I like how it sounds on some instruments, but strongly suspect I could do better recreating it in MXXX with propper metering, AGC, and the rest.
