They just allow you to sketch out a placeholder arrangement early on in the creation process and add detail and variation as you go, always with an easy way to make wide-reaching changes.
Seems like we have a different approach. Like I said, sometimes I use Logic and it has ghost clips and I still don't end up using them.

I would rather re-examine the objective and come up with fresh approaches. I think the idea of ghost clips is somewhat fiddly... too small an individual chunk. I like the idea of something bigger... maybe timeline instances. Se select say the first 4 bars of the arrange, and be able to make ghost copies along the timeline.

Or maybe something like Scene Markers in Arrange. So I can put a Scene Marker somewhere along the timeline and when the playhead reaches it, it plays that Launcher scene until it reaches the next Scene Marker. So it functions like a Scene Song mode.

Those are the directions that interest me more... but hey, advocate for what you want! :tu:

That sounds like Blocks mode in Reason. Smarter implementation in Bitwig would be awesome, indeed!

I just looked up Reason's block mode and that looks great, too, and would neatly map to launcher scenes. I don't care too much about the specific implementation as long as the core issue is addressed.
