I am trying to find Waveform 11's pattern generator but the documentation says to click on the midi clip and a properties menu would open up with the appropriate tab. It doesn't. I get a menu, but not one that contains the pattern generator. I turned to Youtube and the person making the video just said to click on the pattern generator tab but said nothing about how to find it.

I don't seem to have this anywhere. This is my layout.

BINGO! Thank you very much.PaulTobia wrote: Sun Jul 18, 2021 4:52 pm Nope, open the expanded properties panel by clicking on the up arrow icon at the bottom in the same row as the transport controls.

It's also available in the Actions panel, if you don't want to use the expanded properties panel.

Yeah, this has been discussed in the past. I truly believe the expanded properties panel should BY DEFAULT be turned on. When you're fully comfortable with Waveform and need more screen real-estate, then you can selectively hide it.
Too many "good things" are in that panel to be hidden by default; particularly for new users.

I agree. I am still at a loss as to how to make it all work so I took a break and used a third party sequencer instead and learned how to use automation. That is so much easier than in any other DAW I have ever used. Just click + click A choose parameter and bend the line. Very visual, very intuitive.Peter Widdicombe wrote: Mon Jul 19, 2021 12:01 pm Yeah, this has been discussed in the past. I truly believe the expanded properties panel should BY DEFAULT be turned on.
