MSF: previewing samples without repitching

Maybe I'm just losing my mind, but I could swear I've done this before without issue, and I'm not seeing what I'm doing different this time. I just want to quickly check a bunch of hat samples to see which I want, so I loaded the first via "browse" button, and am now going through the folder with the next/previous arrows to the right of the "browse" button.
Problem is: it keeps trying to repitch the hats, so I keep having to reset it up or down by a few octaves to even guess at what it's natural pitch is, and really don't want to be doing any of this anyway since I just want to click a single button and rifle trough the sounds like on any rompler.
It does this whether I am in normal or constant mode in the pitch section of the sampler, and I see that every time it jumps, the root changes in the regions section which again, tells me it's auto pitch detecting on each sample load which seems helpful in other situations, but is just making basic rompler behavior impossible at the moment.
I've been looking through the menus, but I'm apparently missing where I can turn this off. How do I get to the point where I can just preview the next sample each time with a single button press at it's natural pitch?

I think it was always detecting pitch every time - it makes sense for everything but percussive content. Perhaps I could make an option for that, but honestly this is kinda rare situation

Thinking of it - perhaps holding ctrl or something when clicking the arrows could disable that...

Does it? It certainly does make sense in some common situations, but I can think of a number off the top of my head where it doesn't like sampled vocal phrases or any sort of natural real world sound that's about texture and not pitch.MeldaProduction wrote: Fri Jul 30, 2021 11:37 am it makes sense for everything but percussive content.
Regardless, I'm doing a lot of this lately, so given that it works how it does for the moment, what's the fewest button presses possible to get the sound being previewed to play back at it's unaltered pitch as I rifle through thousands of sounds?

Hard to say. Anyways as I said hopefully in the next beta ctrl + clicking the arrows will disable detecting pitch.
