So I only have M1 and Wavestation for the PC. Does that mean my upgrade cost to Collection v3 is $299 or is there some other offer I can make use of?

Seems confusing as M1LE seems to be a cut down version of M1 and yet owners of that can upgrade for $199 :?
That's pretty much the exact situation I'm in: I bought what was called the Digital Edition in the mid-2000s and then got a separate license for Triton much later on; by then my licenses had been migrated to Korg ID as separate products.

Yesterday I have logged a support request to know what's my upgrade path, but unfortunately Korg does not seem to have a great track record at replying to those. The detail you have pointed out is the most surreal part of this affair: the LE plugins, which are usually free with the purchase of hardware controllers (and possibily magazines too?) DO have an upgrade path, while a legit owner of the full software is apparently supposed to pay full price. I really hope this is not the case because I'm in love with this round of updates.

Kindest regards,

Thanks for the response Marco. It does seem odd that they wouldn't have something along the lines of Rob Papen where the upgrade cost discount (to eXplorer) is based on the number of existing RP plugins you own.

I was also about to log a support request although it seems I might have a long wait. I guess buying a NanoKontrol2 would cut the cost down by $50 or so.

Thanks,
ZT

Well, if you want to go down that route (digitally sampled waveforms), then the Yamaha DX7 is also a sample based synth, because the sine wave is stored digitally in memory.
I'm sorry but you are using the language incorrectly. A DX-7 may use sampled waveforms but it is not "a sample based synth" and everyone understands that.

There is a nasty bug in the vst version of the prophecy ( win 10 user here )
Click on of the modulation slots shown in the picture , a pop will appear you can select a source but nothing will happen
Now the button has become totally irresponsive ( green )
This does not happen in the standalone version
Image
Reproduced here as well. Thanks for the report. How do we tell KORG? Do they have representation here?
A good start might be to have more people actually confirming the bug
Eyeball exchanging
Soul calibrating ..frequencies

Win10x64v21H1-Studio One 4.6 Same problem as above: a modulation source slot cannot be changed or turned off once it has been assigned

There's also another issue I have seen reported elsewhere in the thread, when in the newer products you can't select ASIO output from the dropdown in standalone*.

*Tested in DEMO mode, MiniKorg and Prophecy are both affected.

THAT'S MY POINT EXACTLY :hihi:

That's why I wrote: "...if you want to go down that route (digitally sampled waveforms)..." which, IMO, is not valid.

One thing is to have a memory of SAMPLED (recorded) sounds, another is having a memory with digital waveforms that were created algorithmically, using several synthesis methods.
