SUGGESTION: Exporting Midi Scores to Guitar Pro files

I usually write and make my guitar demos with Ample Guitar, then I export to MIDI to make the tablatures in Guitar Pro and thus give them to my musicians, the thing with this is that the midi does not store valuable information that Guitar Pro can interpret, and that is specific to each plugin as such, in this case Ample Guitars, such as the position, selected string, articulations, etc.
If Ample Sound is able to interpret GP files ... why not also do it in reverse?

Actually, I do not think that it is something extremely complicated, it would be to translate the function of the keyswitches to the corresponding articulations of a guitar pro file, this would save us a lot of work and have an exact copy of what we wrote.

What do you think????? I hope see it soon this feature

Sorry that we can not do it in reverse, because it is illegal.

Oh, really!? I didn't know...so bad :-(

I imagine that you would have to obtain a permission from Arobas (owners of the Guitar Pro format) ??? Although it must be complicated ... Maybe an agreement with the company, in the Arobas forums many users ask for some kind of integration with (third-party instruments) for Guitar Pro, and they are aware of that, as they respond.

Of all the virtual guitar instruments, you are the only ones that support the import of tablatures, and therefore the ones with the most potential for some kind of integration in this regard between both companies. It's just a suggestion, you should get in touch ...

In another aspect, have you heard of TUX Guitar? :band: It is an alternative to Guitar Pro, free and open source with its own .tg format... Perhaps you could focus on this option, much cheaper and more viable of legal issues ... I'm sure that the producer of TUX Guitar would love to collaborate with Ample Sound. Another great candidate and more updated could be MuseScore also Open-Source

The other option would be to see an Ample Tab Editor in the future 8) ... Obviously the best option, but it would involve many things, such as a team to develop the application, additional costs, etc.

Either way, I think that being able to fully edit tablatures with the Ample Guitars is a highly desired and useful feature for the entire community. I suggest you explore these options!

Thanks for such good products !!!
