Hi there,
I think the product is still young and might have bugs but not 100% sure. I'm facing some difficulties to do something simple (I have latest version 14.15)

3 tracks
Sync mode = ON
Default bars = 4
All track same length = off
I record my first track on 4 bars just fine.
Then move to track 2 and want to record 8 bars. Doesn't work, it loops at 4 bars and keep on recording over the 1st 4 bars.
Is that a bug or I am missing something?

I think I can help here, as this is something that confused me when I was first playing around with MSuperLooper. What you want to do is of course possible, but it requires a bit of understanding of how the different settings interact, which isn't always completely obvious. This might be a bit of a long explanation for something quite simple, but I think it's worth explaining.

The main thing to mention is that Default Bars will actually override All loops same length in certain scenarios, so....

- When Sync mode is turned off, All loops same length operates exactly as you'd expect it to. When it's off you press record to start your loop, press it again to end your loop and do this separately for each track. When it's on you just do this once for your first loop/track and then all the others conform to this length (i.e. you don't have to manually set end points for any of your other loops, only the first one).

- When you first turn Sync mode on and Default Bars is off, the above still holds true, except of course now everything is synced to host tempo. So far, so simple.

- However, as soon as you set a value for Default Bars, you never have to manually set an end point on any of your loops, and they all become the same length. This is the confusing bit, as it effectively renders the All loops same length button inactive. Personally, I think All loops same length should be greyed out as soon as Default Bars is engaged. This might clear up some of that confusion a bit.

This was how MSuperLooper worked up until version 14.12, which meant it wasn't possible to use different bar lengths in sync mode, unless you left Default Bars off, and manually set the record start and end points on all of your loops.

In 14.12, Melda added a per-track Default Bars override option, which is accessible from the FX & Settings button on each individual track.

All of which is a very long-winded way of answering your question! The simple answer is this, assuming you want to stay in sync mode:
  1. If you're happy setting the loop start and end points manually, just turn Default Bars off. Hit record to start a loop, record again to end a loop - you'll find you can make them all different lengths.
  2. If you want pre-defined loop lengths and you want them all to be different, set Default Bars to your most commonly-used loop length, and then override that in the Track FX & Settings menu for any track you wish to be shorter or longer.
Hope that helps!

is there any way to mute the dry signal once the loop has been recorded and is playing back? if not, adding this feature would be very nice. this is mainly useful for looping bass guitar during jams - it'd be nice if the looper would silently take over without me momentarily having two bass lines at the same time.

also, is there an option to immediately kill currently playing loop without waiting until it ends, while also leaving other tracks/loops intact? "Immediate clear" option seems to not work for that purpose.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Any chance for a basic midi looping feature ?
I'd use that ! ;)

It would be great to have a MIDI binding available for "Next loop in selected track" and "Previous loop in selected track"!

It's there in the latest beta:

Oh awesome, thanks!

Now how about a way to output tempo to host or MIDI :D

Just adding some love for recording multiple tracks simultaneously. My whole band runs through my DAW, and I need to be playing drums, left hand keys, and singing… but keep the three tracks separated for mix & match later in the song.

Is it possible to disable “record monitoring” in MSuperLooper?

My workflow has the plugin wired in parallel, and whenever I’m actively recording, the part goes to the mixer at double volume due to the redundant path.

We could have a real "different loop lengths" options? As it now it seems that we only can record loops that are exact multiple of the first loop, but it would be great to be able to record loops of free length, or at very least basic subdivisions of the first loop (1/2, 3/4, 1/5, 3/2 and so on), in order to create some basic polyrhythms.
