RTAS?

Hiya,
I'm into this, but no release date yet.
I'm currently in the final stages of developing a new plugin which is based upon a new modular engine. Latter is freed from any platform specifics (unlike Zebra's original engine, which has an AU-specific user interface). Once the new plugin is finished as AU (less than a month from now), I'll write the interfaces for other platforms (VST, RTAS on both Mac and Windows) and then port Zebra over to this (copy/paste the modules, that is).
Cheers,
Urs

btw...
... if you have FXpansion's VST->RTAS wrapper, you can use ZebraShell. ZebraShell is an AU->VST wrapper specificially for Zebra and can be downloaded at Zebra's download section on my website

Sorry for reanimating an old thread and switching topics, but I am tired of searching now...Urs wrote:I'm currently in the final stages of developing a new plugin which is based upon a new modular engine. Urs, am I right if I interpret your statement above that Zebra v2 will also have a "real" VSTi-version, and not only the VST-shell?
I ask because of the flaws of the VST-shell in Tracktion. I assume, a VSTi-version might work better (or there is more time now to test it).
I will not ask for a release schedule (I know that you are busy), but have you decided already if you will charge for the v2-upgrade? (And how much, of course.
Someday I'll look back on all this and laugh... until they sedate me.

Hiya Michael,
yes, I've planned to do real VST versions. I hope they work better than my last attempts
The upgrade fee to Z2 - if at all - will be around 20 Euro, because the handling will probably be done by a reseller. There might also be a slightly more expensive upgrade that includes the boxed version, but we havn't worked all this out.
There's a conspiracy behind this: Z2 will require new registration codes. Only people who have got a full version (=bought it or won it) will have an upgrade path. NFRs (free copies for magazine editors etc.) will only be upgraded if the people did what they promised... ouch!
Cheers,
Urs

At least your old MFM seems to work in Tracktion; I have installed the demo yesterday.Urs wrote:Hiya Michael,

But ... did you mean "boxed" as in "comes boxed with a full fledged manual"?
Sold!
