If I post a news item, with the advanced html stuff, why not copy the same advanced html code so I can also post a forum thread, which is what kvr is. So it is easier. I make a news items, its easiers, it sucks you have to make the forum list out the code <li> for real, you already solved it in news section so use that same editor in the forum. Duh!

As it is now, I copy the news item, and it only copies the the text, and all the links are dropped. This is 45 minutes of work! Okay more like 15, so you see my point. Have the links be copied over so we can paste them in the forum without having to redo the enitre thing again!

Me thinks this is about trust.

Forum members cannot be trusted, so they get an editor with very limited options which makes it impossible to inject malicious stuff. Developers can be trusted somewhat more, so they get an editor that's closer to raw html. I guess both editors are not compatible and interchangeable. I also guess these are 3rd party plugins for PhpBB.

What if you do it reverse: start with the forum post, then copy-paste that? Because I understand very well the editor us members get won't convert, but perhaps the developers editor does...
