It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

You could do it with any gate and some complex DAW routing: send an inverted-polarity copy of the gate output to the same bus as a copy of the gate input. When they mix you'll be left with the "flip" signal.

This is a nice option for sound design. I wonder any other tool can do this.
