I cannot install any of the updates - to either Diva or Zebra. I get:

For Zebra2:
Runtime Error (at 110:860);
IPersistFile::Save failed; code 0x80070005,
Access is denied

For Diva:
Runtime Error (at 110:856);
IPersistFile::Save failed; code 0x80070005,
Access is denied

I have re-downloaded and tried running as administrator, and still get the same error. I also am able to download and install other updates. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Most likely those downloads are simply corrupted due to the server issues we experienced yesterday: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=569128

Please try to download them again, maybe clear your browser cache first, and refresh the website, before downloading.

Another idea, the "IPersistFile::Save failed" message could indicate that something is simply blocking the installers, like a malware protection or antivirus app.

Maybe try temporarily deactivating any such application, then check if the installation works, and reactivate your security software afterwards.

I did re-download but that was not the problem. It turned out to be a windows setting. Which one? I'm not certain as I fiddled with a lot of stuff, changing permissions allowed for Administrator, Trusted Installers, and turned off "Controlled Folder Access". A dozen different things rebooting after each. Then it just worked - but then would hang writing bits of the GUI to disk. So I deleted the u-he folder in my "Documents" folder and it worked. Pretty sure it was some Windows fkery, but odd that other installers worked fine. Thanks for the suggestions!

If you'd set your personal documents folder as the location of the u-he data folder then it'd be the Ransomware Protection section of Windows Defender that did it - It stops third party applications being able to modify anything contained within protected folders

Thanks for the info! That seems quite likely to have been the problem. As soon as the installer tried to write any GUI assets it would freeze. I was using all the defaults offered during the install, but noted there was an option to define a different location. It looks like I should have tried that. Again, many thanks!
