But that's assuming people even know the hardware paradigm. Most people who make music nowadays probably never seen a patch bay let alone a console mixer. DAWs are what they know and Reasons dogmatic adherence to aping hardware can be confusing to someone who's never even seen hardware before. But the traditional stuff traditional musicians typically use and do is very simple to achieve in Reason - due to its hardware-like paradigm - which is the exact opposite of what that dude claimed.
Imo why bring the limitations of hardware to the software realm when it's not really necessary. One of the most popular DAWs, Ableton, completely embraces that it's a computer program. Reason can be fun to use at times but sometimes it gets very complicated.
