nope - quite the contrary - only giving when you're expecting to get the same value back immediately is wrong and outdated economy (better don't get me started on economytingle wrote:Whats wrong with paying for things?
I'm not loaded but I like to pay, weird? It is empowering to GIVE to RECEIVE, sort of like life itself.
Getting something for nothing is a false economy.
What's the deal with giving out Tracktion for free?

Hm.. Am I the only one that still has the anoying noise now and then, even after the reg?
I Tried the free give-away, but to me the only difference is that "unregistered" in the about-box is substituted with my name..

HAH! Very funny
Weel, I've tried to re-install (several times, using different drivers etc.) It seems to disappear if I switch to the directsound drivers, but now and then I get the stutter.
This is a very wierd problem because I use Sonar for wiring up Reason and other softsynths and fx with no problems at all (using ASIO).
I guess I'm not wise enough to deal with essential problems on my computer. And that's exactly why I think that Tracktion could be "the thing" for me when I get a computer that's fast enough and put together by people who know stuff

I found that dragging and dropping the keyfile didn't always work as advertised. Instead, go to the "about" box and click the button for registering. I can't remember what it's called, but it's there.
For your system, tinker with the latency settings (don't go for min latency. If it's a fairly modern system, aim for 5 ms or so [mine's at 8 currently!] instead, with stability as the goal rather than absolute minimum latency).
Also, try disabling (or enabling! I can't remember which is more reliable so try both!) "ASIO direct mode" on the settings page, and disable "realtime priority mode" while you're at it. Realtime priority mode can really mess with your shit.

it depends on the card; enabling it is usually benign, often helpful, but occasionally troublesome.Lunch Money wrote: Also, try disabling (or enabling! I can't remember which is more reliable so try both!) "ASIO direct mode" on the settings page
Also disable any unused audio inputs.

*remembering -> tracktion -> free*
Those times when i have tried it before i quit before i turned on my computer and downloaded the demo. Now i had to. I must confess that im kinda impressed. It really is easy!
Ill have to wait until i get home to try it with a keyboard and controllers .. but so far

I DID missunderstand that note. Im supposed to read the notes above twice!!

NOTE the previous notes before proceeding. Skip this note if you're reading it for the second time.
