Hello everyone,

I'm a new Tracktion user and so far I'm pleased with that product (got it with my Layla3G soundcard).

However, I have a problem when I try to open an audio file with WaveLab Lite (WLL) in Tracktion.

-> I set WLL as "default audio editor" in T, then I open an audio clip in Tracktion. WLL opens, and when I try to play that file in WLL, it says that audio outputs are not available for playback (in fact they are used by T, the 2 programs run at the same time).

Do you know if there's a way to automatically disable the default audio outputs in T when WLL is launched ???

Thx in advance

Yaz

PS : Sorry for my english !!!! :)

thats because youre most likely running your tracktion in ASIO mode, which steals all of the audio in your card for the time being. What you have to do is minimize tracktion to let it "let go" of the audio card.

Yaz, use DirectSound instead of ASIO in WLL, this will fix the pb.
(bought an Emulator X, have you ?)
Anyway welcome to the community.

Hello,

Minimizing Tracktion didn't fix the problem

I'll try to select DirectSound in WLL (if I find out where to set Directsound instead of Asio) as soon as I come home.

Thx for your help

oh actually maybe minimizing wont work... well i think it depends on which window is up... I'll try figuring it out when i get home if i remember

Hello,

There's no possibility to change the driver (Asio or Directsound) in WLL

But I've found a way to fix my pbm anyway : Each time I want to use WLL to edit my .wav, I disable the audio output in Tracktion. And I enable it when I come back to Tracktion. That's ok for me.

To Piaz : I didn't buy Emulator X (because Emu1820 don't work with Tracktion. I bought a Layla3G instead, and it's great).

A+

My Emulator X works ok with T. (except I often have to "restart device" when I switch from edit to edit quickly).
To change the driver, check your "Audio Card" setup in WLL. for me, only WaveOut is available, but then T. is ASIO, so...
