Is possible to add this feature to native modules?
I know, that maybe requiere digg in the deep of the code and vast time spending testing that not break it anything the rest of the "daw" functionality, i would understood.
the reason for this topic is cos when i load an empty MUX vst on any host (FL Studio has a meter per plugin)
it ranks very high, an empty MUX!, I know that Mulab/MUX run in audiorate which is great for the
modulations and automations but, the cost of CPU is quite high.
Also I know that the CPU's today can run flawlessly well with any thing made before 2019, but that's not the point.
The point is, when one is building very complex and nested patches, the CPU load increases unnecessarily, like it
would have processing in the background on the without signal modules.
I made a stress test mux loading an a bunch of amplifiers modules (no tweaks at all) on a native way (inside mux/mulab),
and of course, the VST version is less capable to stress tests due the porting and other stuff (internals, 3rd party api, etc.).
TL:DR an "auto bypass" option would be great addition for saving CPU when there's not signal at all.
Thanks in advance.
