Vegas video has an option that launch inside the timeline an external audio application to edit the wave audio file of a video. It works nice in some software like melodyne, I think vegas video only call the ".exe" and load the wav file in the program, I do not think is much more complicated than that, but can be wrong.
In the case of waveform 11, the calling to the waveform.exe file just send you to the presentation screen, but no project with the wav file is open.
Do not know if this is possible to correct this if some programmer read my message and think is not so difficult to implement.
Thank you vey much.
Vegas Video audio editing and Waveform.

HI,
as far as I know this is only possible with a pure audio EDITOR, not DAW:
The video editor will send the wav to the editor and is expecting the modified wav back.
So you have to export the audio from the video, open in Waveform (or DAW whatever you use) after editing export this as wav and reimport in your video editor.
