Hi, I recently discovered Renoise Redux tracker plugin which can be used in other DAW's for sequencing music and I'm planning to buy it. But since I'm on this forum I thought I'd give it a shot to post a FR about this.
Why would we want to use a tracker in Mulab/Mux? The effect commands. Reverse, pitch slide, retrigger, note probability, velocity randomness, trigger sample from a different start phase, sample slice randomization and more. The commands allow the user to achieve results which would be either time consuming or hard to imagine while using a piano roll or audio sequence. Once you get the hang of them you can work rapidly just with your keyboard. Also sample based production is easier on resources compared to realtime synthesis which may be a deal-breaker for some.
This post is not meant to be a 'I want this and it shall be implemented'. I'm not a hardcore tracker user, I'm just getting into it. I want it to be a discussion stimulus and I encourage everyone to join it and share thoughts. What do you think?

Have you played with the Step Sequence much? It may well do all of what you need.

After your reply I gave it a solid workout and you are right, it does everything I would like it to do. I no longer think Mulab needs a tracker, thank you for opening my eyes
