Not necessarily true...

Those that are serious about music will get serious music making tools...

Starting with the development of their musical skills :tu:
Development of musical skills. Who are the users that are demonstrating the products though that sells?

Why are we talking about "development of musical skills" in a thread about a DAW? Bizarre.

Why ?

Learning to use a DAW is part of the development of the skills needed for music production in 2021...

Unless of course, you have your own engineer...

Anyway,it's often the tangents and the diversions in life that are more interesting than the main roads

They shouldn't... Users complain about paying $15 a month for Sphere, but can go pay $1000 plus for plugins with no room treatment.
New users to the industry maybe or people that collaborate and wanna use same daw would most likely use Sphere. Most professionals already have their collection of plugins, samples and everything, they just need an updated DAW. Probably they won't even update with every new release. They are looking for stability, if it ain't broken, don't mess with it. That's the source of their income. Trying new software can lead to downtime = losing money.

Also, Sphere is more expensive than actually upgrading your version of Studio One, especially during sales. Looking at how often was updated, they release a big update every 2 years. With Sphere you would pay $360. Simple upgrade would cost way less.

If you need the rest of the content and you actually use it, only then Sphere is a way better option and I don't really see a professional really needing the rest of the content that comes with Sphere.

:tu:

Stability is the focus in most pro studios...

The workflow is usually fairly well established and they know what they need to get the results they are after...

Starting with the music and the performance
