I may be just misunderstanding workflow. But I'd like to modulate, say, oscillator-2 volume (in the triple VCO) with midi breath control, in one patch only. I don't want this modulation in any other patches.
The problem is that if I do that with the "midi learn" page and modulate the Osc-2 volume knob, it seems to apply across all instances of Diva, across all projects on my computer, including some where I definitely do not want breath control mucking with Osc-2 volume.
Is there another way to map this control for just a selected patch? I don't see "Osc X volume" as a selectable destination in the mod matrix or anywhere else. The closest thing I see is "Dual VCO mix", but that doesn't really help, and I'm really more curious about the general case for parameters that aren't in the mod matrix list, and don't have the dymo-label modulation chooser. Am I missing something?
Thanks...
diva midi control, per-patch option?

You may be able to do that in your DAW. Which one do you use?

I use Cubase 10. It does have "automation lanes", but automation lanes for midi tracks (on which I am recording) do not appear to have Diva's parameters available to them. And if they did, I'm not sure how to perform/record that automation while performing with some arbitrary midi slider/knob (vs drawing it in later). Still feel like I'm missing something, but maybe now in both Diva *and* Cubase...

You can use Cubase's Quick Controls to do some quick per-patch assignments rather than Diva's direct MIDI Learn.glittle wrote: Sat Aug 28, 2021 11:02 pm I use Cubase 10. There's a tutorial video here:

Interesting... "Quick Controls" looks like an area of Cubase (albeit obtuse) that I've never checked out! So while I'm getting my head around some details of configuring VST quick controls, I've got it basically working now. However, a possible showstopper.
I use a VST instrument track, and I create different takes on separate midi tracks pointing to that VST instrument track.
However, unless I'm missing something, I can't get the *automation* to record separately on each midi track. I have to write-enable the VST-instrument track itself, and the automation then records there. But: the automation is part of the performance, so I want different takes to have different automation data. But I can't record another track without erasing the automation moves of the previous track?
How do others record their knob-twiddling as part of a take, when that knob is adjusting a parameter that is not "modulatable" in Diva?
Thanks for the pointer to the QCs. Seems like that could be a useful feature in general.
