I'm currently listening to Brussels Affair & Marquee Club cuz they're supposed to be legendary performances. This thread has me getting all nostalgic for when I was the tender age of 9, singing along to 'Bitch' & 'Star Star'

Oops
Didn't realize my post went through the first time so I'll add the part about listening to Black & Blue alot too because Memory Motel has become the most frequently played Stones song these days

Never liked that song. Fool To Cry also annoys me.

Nor I. Seemed like the lights were on but nobody home. Keef was on the nod. And Taylor was gone.

:hihi:

Mostly, though, I associate it with the loss of my first girlfriend. I found it online a few years back, and I couldn't listen to the whole thing through. Still haven't. I have Hand of Fate on my Stones' compilation on my computer, but that,s it.

Then why write that?

Edited for snark. Melomood, I'm sorry if I stepped on your cherished memories. I understand. I merely wanted, as a fan of the band since I was about 5, and listened to and followed in real-time, to express my disappointment in that album. I did not intend my remark to come off as insensitive to you. I'm sorry you were upset.

You didn't step on cherished memories. You just expressed an opinion about something I liked and I expressed the fact that I don't care if you liked it or not.
Simple enough

The late Charlie Watts stated: “the Mick Taylor period was a creative peak for us. A tremendous jump in musical credibility.”
Ronnie Wood, who replaced Mick Taylor in March 1975 suited the Stones’ lad-jack image much better for times to come. We do know that Woody isn't in the same league as a guitarist, as you can see and hear whenever Mick Taylor joins the Stones on stage during the last tours. I met and chat with both of them and felt Mick's shyness to the point of being distant and the instant camaraderie and fun of Ronnie. Two opposites caracters and craftmanship but both were able to keep the Rolling Stones being "The greatest rock 'n' band in the world" as announced by Sam Cutler ( former Stones tour manager

Oh ok. If you want to believe there's more to it, here goes.
Dear Bombadil, even though I don't know you, have had scant interaction with you, I have had a burning desire for years to get into it with you over a rolling stones song. Finally the chance came for me to strike and I took it
