Yes, I'm waiting as well...but the alpha versions are functioning better than most other developers released versions, been using it for 1.5 years without a single crash, so I'm very happy with that.

Post

We see light at the end of the tunnel with the update-of-almsot-everything-else. Once that's done pretty much almost every attention shifts over to Uhbik.

the new update for Hive(2) Izmo skin is very nice. It runs like it should now. A steady 70 FPS. Very nice!

wrong thread..whoops

so, Mono > Stereo in logic isn't working? or is it just when logic is Native and plugs are wrapped?

I have no idea. Fixing up channel issues is next up on our list.

so Mono to Stereo:
It works when Logic is running x86, doesn't when logic is running M1.
Which is odd, because Uhbik is always running x86.

i haven't noticed this because i was avoiding running Logic native - looks like i still can't go native. Not only because of this obv - there's all of iLok and still shit running buggy in general unfortunately, so while single plugins scream on M1, a mixed session usually works better x86

It would be great if you could offer these as individual purchases, not just as a bundle

I cannot open any of the VST3 plugins in Ableton Live 11 on my MacBook Pro running macOS Big Sur. The VST2 plugins do work.

i haven't sent in a ticket yet but i can't run the alpha versions on my W10 Ableton 9 system. Luckily i have an i7 that they work quite well on.

The VST3 versions are not running in Ableton Live, it's noted in the very first post of this thread.

Ah, I see that now. Can confirm they don't run in version 11 either. Is there already a new alpha build that we could try?

Post

Nope, sorry, no new builds yet.

adding stuff to to-do list:
inflation knob response imo too steep, could be more logarithmic because the upward compression (i think it's upward compression?) thing gets really out of hand values 50% and up.
Also - and i know i'm pushing it, some kind of inflation limiter switch - else it can bring the noise levels up SO MUCH.

Also M1 native alpha please. :D

Inflation should be used with caution, at least with attention to details. You don't want to just crank it up.
It's not really upward compression. We had this in mind, but the problem with upward compression is that the envelope always acts unnatural on more complex or 'difficult' sources, and it's hard to keep an upward compressor under absolute sonic control (or it's me being not 'experimental' enough). What it actually does in its current state is sort of parallel limiting (along with gain compensation). Slope-wise, it's equivalent, but with a natural or just more predictive envelope behaviour.
Sure, the process brings up low-level partials (and that's why it's there), such as room ambience or tiny nuances in acoustic performances (that's what I use it for, often just lightly, below 20% or so). It can also exaggerate noise floor, so be cautious. AFAIR, we've cut the process off around -60dBFS, but maybe someone could look into it to make sure it's a good compromise. Maybe the knob scaling should change to being slightly exponential and thus less sensitive in the lower region.
