Hi folks, is it possible to hear the recorded midi notes while recording.
I record my Drums in overdub mode, first hihat for example, then Snare and so on, but I couldn’t hear what I’ve recorded while I’m recording. Should be possible or not?

Thanks and kind regards
Marek

I;m not sure what you mean, but I see what you wrote as a problem - MDrummer "destroys everything until the current note" - so that you can record over and over and just stop playing after you are happy with what you just did. This unfortunately conficts overdubbing obviously.
BUT click Functions and disable Record replace and the overdubbing should start working.

I’d like to hear what I’ve played, while I’m recording.

My mistake I’ve written midi, but I mean the recording the rhythm generator inside mdrummer. I first record a four on the floor kd beat drum, the recording is still active and now I don’t hear my kd floor on floor beat, it’s always silent. Is there a setting to change this behaviour?

Understood, I'll check it out.

The record replace function inside the rhythm generator could be more intelligent. Instead of replacing everything you’ve played until that moment it should only replace the played notes of this drumtype, eg kick.

I’ve read in the changes of v15:
Recording a loop now plays what has already been recorded. Doesn’t work for me, I don’t hear any recorded notes inside reaper while recording. Any hint?!

By the way is there a metronome function inside the rhythm generator, can’t find any.

Install 15.00 (are you on the beta list?), then disable the "Record replace". Seems working here.
Metronome is always playing via "snare crossstick".
Record replace killing a single drum is kinda specific for you :). But that could work as yet another mode. I'll think about that.

For a drummer like you it’s no problem, but for me, who plays first kick and Snare, next round hihat for example. And then just like to replace the kick by another rhythm in the next round without deleting also snare and hihat hits. Would be great.

The other thing I have to check once more.

One more, why it’s not possible to hear the base rhythms while recording?

Record replace disable works, but a mode where I can listen and replace only the drum Im playing would be phenomenal.

Replacing single drum will be available in the new beta (today/tomorrow).
