Just tried this out:
If you drag midi onto Phrasebox, an new interface with two drop-targets shows up that either lets you use the midi notes in the file as phrase in the Phrasebox sequencer or in the second case, applies the current settings and phrase in Phrasebox to the midi file, which can then be dragged out to the DAW from another special interface overlay that isn't there otherwise.
So the second option basically does what Phrasebox always does, just in a static way instead of on the fly and continuous.
The first is mostly interesting for melodies or rhythms while the second makes more sense for chords.
Hadn't seen that in the docs before - thanks for bringing it up!
Cheers,
Tom

Reaktor Sapphire Metasequencer by Yofiel is a Virtual Instrument Audio Plugin and a Standalone Application for macOS and Windows. It functions as a VST 3 Plugin and a Standalone Application. It is free.

This is pretty cool. Thanks for posting! I added my own synths in a Bitwig synth rack, 4 layers, each own its own channel, and tweaked the default preset for over an hour when I first downloaded it. Not a steep learning curve and it has a lot of flexibility. That's a lot of wonga for a midi sequencer. The demos look great, but can't see it doing an more than my HY sequencers can do

It's pretty much the same sequencer used in their sample libraries without requiring you to buy a library or use Kontakt.
For me, it's more straightforward and easy to use than HY, although I've spent a lot more time with SL than HY.

More straightforward yes, and the GUI is great, but the trade-off is flexibility and unlimited creativity. That's my feeling about Sample Logic in general.Musical Gym wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 10:00 pm It's pretty much the same sequencer used in their sample libraries without requiring you to buy a library or use Kontakt.

I’ve got a few Sample Logic libraries, but only when they were majorly discounted from their supposed RRP. Think I spent about $60 on Guitar Fury, for example and think that’s supposed to be $199.

Right. SL makes PA look like the Dollar Store in that respect.WatchTheGuitar wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 10:12 pm I’ve got a few Sample Logic libraries, but only when they were majorly discounted from their supposed RRP.
