The sound in "True PPG" mode is pretty close, they got even the way PPG aliases right.

Very fun sampler. Still running to this day.
Good luck on the rest.

Fun sampler, but didn't last long
It was relevant to the general chat about ensoniq kybds

Which part did you not understand?

Post

What's understood is between the ESQ1, SQ80, and EPS16+ there are 3 different keybeds.
Do you understand now?

We already got a very good PPG Wave from Waldorf themselves.
Tried the demo but didn't like the old interface and even the sound wasn't right to me. Currently 89% off ($19.99) on audio plugin deals if anyone is interested.

Wow, that's one hell of a deal.

The synth is not for me though... absolutely detested the operation in PPG Wave 2.V.

Which part of " general chat about ensoniq kybds" not specific ones did you not understand?

The dude was chewing food with his mouth open right against the mic, f**king disgusting. He thanked Arturia for sponsoring him so I guess this was sanctioned but it was all very amateur. I wonder why they chose him of all people.
The fact that there are humans who find watching someone else play video games to be entertaining is super depressing.

It’s generally terrible, but no more so than the hardware it emulates. I’m used to it now, but I hated it when I first got it. It is worth it to me.

jojoB3 wrote: Tue Sep 07, 2021 3:45 pm Again, rather simple repair/maintenance. You picked up a 'vintage synth'.
zerocrossing wrote: Tue Sep 07, 2021 3:18 pm
The keyboard was described as in “great” condition, and I specifically asked about the key bed feel and I was assured that it was, “like new.” I just didn’t feel like going though the hassle of fixing it myself or having it fixed. I returned it and found a GEM S2, which feels amazing with no maintenance.
I picked up a synth that wasn’t like the synth that was described so I returned it.

i feel you may be confused by the science of electromagnetics.
But the question remains: can you or can you not explain how cleaning coils may affect a magnetic field?

Teksonik wrote: Tue Sep 07, 2021 3:31 pm I just find it amusing when people get so excited about something like Cherry Audio's upcoming synth because it might be a Jupiter 4 but if anyone gets excited about an emulation of a hybrid synth from the 80's they're all "but what does it bring".

It's ok to want a hundred different ways to run a saw wave through a low pass filter but emulating a synth with some unique architecture and sound is considered frivolous. :?
It's hard to get excited about either these days, isn't it? I've always preferred analog to digital by a factor of 10, but we're over-run with the things. The particular excitement of a particular model that hasn't already been emulated to death does seem wildly disproportionate to what it can really bring to that very old party. On the other hand, a new digital synth is, well, a digital synth.

Maybe we need to find other things to obsess over. Aren't our lives hell?

Yes, the Q does remain! Did you clean the keybed on your non-existent SQ80?

I'll wait for the GEM s2 VST!

Jesus, the sidetracking in these forums. Amazing.
