Comparison between Noveltech Character and Noveltech vocal enhancer

This was a great question and I'm totally at the point of deciding between the two of them as well!! What was the ultimate verdict on this? It seems like vocal enhancer is using the same technology as Character, but with more precise control.

I have both but only character gets used. Vocal enhancer is a lot harsher sounding. Character works really well on acoustic guitars and vocals if you want them to pop.

Noveltech Vocal Enhancer should really just be called 'Sibilance Machine'

Everything I run through that plugin becomes harsh and sibilant, even on subtle settings. I think something like the Maag EQ4 with a subtle air band and slight bump on the 2.5k achieves a much better result.
