Tracktion won't keep the preset/program on the one I set

I just installed PSOFT's Void modular synth and I started playing it in Tracktion. It won't save a preset. As soon as I hit record, it'll switch it back to Program (preset) 1. I'll be playing with Program 23 or something and then it'll switch back to Program 1 when I start recording, or after. This happened to be once before with Synth1, and the only way I seemed to fix it was to reinstall Tracktion.

Is there anyway I can reset settings or something or delete a temp file or something to get around this? Is this a known problem? I tried discoDSP Discovery and the same thing happened so I know it's not just VOID. But it might have caused it.

Please help.

it's gettign reset 'cos you've inadvertently saved a patch chnage into your edit.

select the clip at which it resets, then click 'insert program change' and select 'remove all pcs from this clip'.

Oh and make sure for your midi input device you have program set to (none).

Awesome; yeah, that was it.

I'm having another problem now.

The track isn't freezing. I usually can freeze a track. I've had this problem before, but it seems random. What could this be?

It worked but only after I froze the track with DR-008 on it. That one would freeze but the VOID one wouldn't. Any idea why it worked after freezing the DR-008 track? Very weird. Makes no sense.

Anybody reading? This is still happening.

I have to freeze another non-VOID track before the VOID track will freeze itself.

Does this only happen with Void? Anyone else with Void have success freezing it as the only track?

I don't have Void, so I can't test it myself, but that would be quite erratic behaviour! Freezing on one track would have no impact on freezing another track unless the one track is feeding into the other.

Yeah Good point Greg.
Check the routing to see if the one of the tracks is feeding the other.

Ive never been able to get DR008 to play nice with Tracktion.

I gave up on it because it always seemed to crash when I tried to use it.
