Live 4 and Tracktion

Can anyone tell me how well Live 4 and Tracktion work together? I have the Live demo on my Mac but it's a bit underpowered, so I haven't tried using it with Tracktion yet. Before I get in too deep I'd just like to know if they are a worthwhile pair, and how people use them together in practice. Live seems to have everything I want regarding loops and step-type sequencing, but it doesn't seem to be too good at traditional recording, unless I'm wrong.

Wow, so many replies!
Anyway, after messing with Live 4 for an evening, I'll start saving my money for a license. Looks like it's all I need. It's a lot like Tracktion but does the loop stuff I need really well, without all Sonar's weirdness. Hopefully Tracktion 2 comes out and surprises me before I have the money all together for Live, I'm sure it would be cheaper.
I'm still wondering if Tracktion 1.6 has a place, is there anything Live is lacking in the way of mastering that Tracktion would be useful for? I like the mastering plug in that comes with Tracktion now, is it better than what Live 4 comes with standard?

I use either/or, rather than both together, which probably doesn't help much.
However... the only thing that Tracktion has to offer which isn't done better in Live (imho) is the lack of Freeze and PDC in Live. Once these are implemented in Live, I don't think Tracktion will have anything extra to offer.
Although of course T2 may change all that!
Happy music making

PS. yes you're right about the mastering plug, too. Nothing similar in Live.
I missed that point because I master in Adobe Audition. I find that the combination of software I have (listed below) covers all bases very thoroughly, but Tracktion is fairly redundnat for me at present.
Also worth noting that Live doesn't do sample/wave editing, and you will want a few VST instruments to complement the Simpler/Impulse instruments included. (Reason works for me as a rack of instruments within Live 4, and this is a popular option with Live users...)
Hope this helps

Yeah, I need a good free wav editor. And I have a bunch of VSTis, they all worked in Live so far, of course I'm especially happy about that.
Well, Tracktion will get the role of my mastering system then, at least for now. Both Live and Tracktion do away with the crap I hate about DAWs and look good together, I only wish Live let you resize more UI elements the way Tracktion does. Both great apps though, I think I found my happy place. Now I'm not as concerned with T2 meeting all my needs. I do hope it comes out before I buy Live 4 so I can give it a chance to be my main app.
