Using Diva as an FX VST?

Hi!

I'm very interested in trying to use Diva's built in effects as an FX thru using audio input. It seemed from some old threads that this should be possible depending on the host - this old thread mentions that one user got it working using Metaplugin on the VST versions in Ableton. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=334253

Well, I've tried the same setup multiple ways and couldn't get it working, with either VST or VST3. I'd like to know if anyone else has got this working recently. I'm wondering if it's a feature that used to work, but since nobody uses it much, it broke a while back and hasn't been supported since. Or, perhaps I'm just doing something stupid. Either way, help appreciated! Thanks.
