Well, I don't know where you are with developments, but as it is now I think it's just great
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently now an 'elderly' so maybe I forgot!

Cheers!
More or less done now, just fiddling with vocal effects/tidying up, but I'm having a break. Time for a complete change. Trying to write something for this month's contest - one vocal, one acoustic guitar...

normally, it is not my genre.. but this little details in the transitions and ideas... and that "matured rich" baritone (?) voice... (maybe the total wrong word... but forgive, it is not my language)
oh man... really nice... and frustrating same time
sometimes tracks just exist to tell me: stop making music, there are good reasons to quit. Better let the others do it.

it is better to have a track with some mistakes than a track without any soul

"donkey trials" - version 28th of september:
Nice intro, I like it, very rhythmic. The vocals sound nice and drawn out,
slightly psychedelic. Yes, you have a penchant for eighth notes, hence
the similarity to U2.
The vocals must by no means be quieter. Guitar work and vocals are
very good - they go well together, pull the listener into the action.
The end is then very effect-overloaded, that is probably a matter of
taste.
Overall: Very varied and soulful, I really enjoyed it.

Cheers everyone for the listen and kind words.
Hehe, I tend to go in phases I've noticed. A couple of years ago I was doing a lot of stuff with a bit more 'Americana'/folk/blues rock/soul influences. Recently I've reverted a bit back to 90s indie effects monkey bombast. No bad thing, got to keep moving!
