When attempting to create an IR when using two instances of MConvoMB, one before and one after an effect plugin, the initial instance does not create/send an impulse. The button seems to respond but there is not output. What am I missing?.../s~

Windows 10 here. I hear the splut/click of the test tone and see meter respond in the plugin (and in REAPER's track/mixer etc).
Works with either MELDA VST2 or VST3.

I checked all the usual stupids, and did a fresh install including the suggested "cleanup/reboot." No joy. Everything else seems to be in order. So maybe this is an osx/lpx/AU thing. I'll check later today with Reaper/AU...thanx for the follow up.../s~

It's because Logic mutes all tracks until there's some input... "optimization", they say... So just play something on that track

having the same issue in Live 11, found a workaround by recording the test tone into an audio clip and using that to record the impulse response, wish this could be updated to work as intended!

Did you try VST2/3? I never recommend AU, ever.itsinvader wrote: Wed Apr 07, 2021 3:48 pm having the same issue in Live 11, found a workaround by recording the test tone into an audio clip and using that to record the impulse response, wish this could be updated to work as intended!

No, I only use AUs in my system due to the better compatibility with Live’s preset system. Or at least this was the case prior to the introduction of VST3 which is still not supported by quite a few manufacturers.MeldaProduction wrote: Sun Apr 11, 2021 6:49 pmDid you try VST2/3? Unfortunately it appears that most manufacturers don’t pay much attention to making sure their plugins work properly as AU in Live even though it’s advertised to work, this is judging from a decade of experiencing weird bugs and lack of support.
Using more than one type of plugin format enabled in the browser is very cumbersome and hinders workflow and, as someone working full time as a sync music producer that needs to turn work around as quickly as possible, that is just not something I would want to deal with. I haven’t bought a single Waves plugin since being told by their support that they don’t and won’t support AU in Live.

The problem actually is that AU is a complete fatal mess. There are already 3 different versions of it, half of it doesn't work, the design is crazy horrific (almost looks like it is made for iTunes and not professional audio actually) and since the documentation virtually doesn't exist, it's near impossible to make the DAWs work with plugins perfectly. At the end we basically only test with Logic, since that kinda the "main use for AU", since it doesn't support anything else
