Hi Gercek, you wrote in a reply above dated 11/08/21 that the “Synthmaster 2 iOS user manual will be out very soon”, but after thoroughly checking the latest 27/08/2021 update I find that it is no where to be found! Is the manual going to be released at a later date, or is it available as a separate download?
Regards Mike.

Sorry about the delay on this one. Until we release it, please take a look at our video tutorials, we covered a lot of important topics in those videos:

Hi Gercek,
Thanks for the video tutorial information, I have previously checked them out along with other videos on YouTube, but unfortunately since the latest v1.0.3 update I have been unable to make even the smallest change to any parameter without it instantly crashing the moment I try to save it on my iPad Air 4. I have tried deleting and reinstalled SM2 twice but the problem still exists. I sent numerous analytical crash reports to Levent a few weeks ago for him to try and find the problems, so, sadly at the moment I can only use SM2 presets as they are which is ok, but there are many occasions I need to modify them to suit my projects.
I hope this can soon be rectified because I am missing this editing ability.
Mike.

So far I can not reproduce this issue, testing on iPad Pro 11 inch (2020). Which DAW are you using ?
hate to say this, but if I can not reproduce this issue, I can not fix it.
EDIT: tested with Cubasis, GarageBand and AUM, but no luck. They all work as expected without any crash. Does this happen with ALL presets, or a certain one? What is the exact workflow to reproduce it? Right now we are clueless.

This crash happens in both Stand-alone and Au3 in Cubasis3. I have just checked my presets and you are never going to believe this!
After I updated SM2 to v1.0.3 on 28th August I started searching for a particular sound to use in my new project from the 2500 presets I have collected so far, I chose to edit “BT JMJvcs3fx04” from the BigTone Signature Sounds Vol1 sound pack as it was almost like JM Jarre’s sound effect, but I needed to tweak and then save it, it just happened to be the only preset out of 2500 that causes this crash.
This preset has put your team and myself through a lot of trouble, but at least we know where the problem is.

Has the user manual for this ever been completed? Can’t find it on the website and it’s not in the download area.
This synth is deep and needs a manual, some aspects are truly baffling such as you can choose up to LFO6 as a mod source but there are only 4 LFOs - what’s that all about?

Hi Nunrgguy,
The answer to your question concerning the user manual is unfortunately no. I have requested this myself many times since it was first launched over 18 months ago.
Leo from SoundForMore on YouTube has a video explaining the lfo’s, but only 4 of them, not 6! In fact he has many videos explaining many aspects of Synthmaster 2 iOS and they are very useful

Has this ever been resolved? I can't find an iOS manual anywhere.

Thanks @jamietopol – you beat me to it. I just created an account to ask this question.
I’ve been goofing around with synths for about a year, and following the common advice, I’d really like to concentrate on Synthmaster 2, which looks to be the best of the almost dozen soft synths I’ve played with. But it appears to be the ONLY one without a damned manual. I’ve watched many tutorial videos, but none this far take a real methodical approach, so a manual would be appreciated.
Is the manual project dead in the water? It’s been almost two years since we heard “soon.”
Does anyone know if the manual for the VST version has any use in learning the iOS version?
Thanks!

The answer to this NO.
I downloaded the SM2.9 user manual that came with the SM2 release, it has similarities to SM2 but all the menus are different and you quickly get lost in what you are trying to accomplish.
I have also begged for the user manual and was replied with “it will be included in the next update” or “it is nearly finished and will be in the next update”, er……a couple of years later and it still hasn’t arrived ! It’s like everything else to do with SM2 - at first they were helpful but as the many problems started to accumulate they stopped answering. IMO Synthmaster 2 for iOS is now abandonware, their concentration is on Synthmaster 3, but reading through the posts in this forum - it also has problems!!!!!
I don’t like to criticise the developers but I purchased SM2 and many IAP preset packs, I did not expect it to become virtually unusable after the iOS18 update (see my posts in this forum).
