As Urs discussed at Superbooth, 2.5 is out, but just wondering is it still in beta form because I can't see the the new version on the U-he site yet.

Work In Progress
We expect it to be out in Q4, this year.
(I'm sure I mentioned that in every interview, one way or another)

Actually, you did Urs, towards the end of one which I just watched. Thanks and excited about all the new features and its new GUI.

Yes but it's futile, sometimes I only hear what I want to hear, so when I have memory holed this thread as well, then I will email U-he support and complain that the download link on the site only give me the old version.Urs wrote: Thu Sep 23, 2021 2:16 pm Work In Progress

Woah. The GUI looks great. After hearing the short demo from Superbooth I got excited.
I have many delays but not MFM (so far). Even though I have so many delays, I don't "love" any delay except for one. The old Ohmboyz. That is the only versatile delay I have found that has a real "signature" sound to it. It's hard to describe, but I find it very smooth/rubbery. Even when distorting it, it does not become harsh. I guess the filters are a huge part of that sound. Now, I don't expect any other delay to sound like some other delay. But feature-wise, to be able to control basically any parameter with LFO's is something that can create very lively and evolving sounds.
I also love the simple "Sustained loop" button which is incredibly useful when jamming or live recording. Having just one button to sustain a loop from playback, which then evolves continuously, instead of having to tweak several knobs, is a top feature in my book.
You are probably seeing what I'm getting at here.. since I can't wait until the release I have two questions.
- Can the LFO's (and envelopes) control all (or most) of the parameters (including Base time)?
- Will there be any "Sustained loop" button for the input?
EDIT:
Hah, I found this thread from 2009 where I asked for an alternative for Ohmboyz. Urs replied to someone asking about a "loop feedback/kill input switch" feature in MFM. So it should be possible to do then. I have to demo it now to see what I can come up with.... 12 years later...

That's what the input gain is for.
The ModMatrix can indeed target pretty much any parameter.

i, for one, i'm interested in any improvement of the tuned resonator very peculiary, like polyphony for instance
