Well, my G5 and Logic 7 arrived yesterday and I have my studio up and running again - so far so good! :D I'll second Zai's enthusiasm for Logic 7: It feels and acts pretty well and the new plugs and synths are very nice indeed! :) A little disappointed with some of the graphics, though, some things are kinda hard to see. I feel the contrast is somewhat better on 5.5.1 on Windows, things are slightly easier on the eyes and the audiomixer is more economical when it comes to screen space. Then again, old habits and all that...

However, I DO miss my Sonitus plugs and Anarchy Rhythms... Oh well, you can't have it all. Guess I'll have to set up my net PC for music use again.

Oh, sorry! Congrats Zai, I almost forgot this thread was about you, not me. :hihi:

I'm also one of them who are actually switching to mac and logic pro 7. I will stil use in some situations my copy of cubase. I don't even think about talking if mac or pc is better. Today both platforms are good and stable.
Regarding logic and the first topic: logic stil doesn't offer full latency compensation and this I would consider as a real showstopper. Another point: if you call for support, they will charge you 200 dollars for it. This is not a stupid decision from apple, this is the most stupid decision that I have ever heard. After six calls you will pay the same amount of money as for the whole program.
On the other side, compared to cubase and sonar, logic offers a complete range of tools, from recording to mastering.
