Bitwig improvement for live performance

Yesterday I performed a facebook techno live act with APC40 and Bitwig.
I use Drivenbymoss drivers.
I was on a 12 inch laptop and I faced the issue when I selected the 8 tracks block from the APC (shift+bank select right arrow) : the corresponding track on Bitwig did not scroll so I had to use the mouse to see them on the laptop. This workflow is not good for a live act.
There should be a kind of autoscroll tracks on bitwig according to the block of tracks selected on the APC.

1) why there's no link to the performance?dupont wrote: Sat Apr 10, 2021 9:16 am Yesterday I performed a facebook techno live act with APC40 and Bitwig.

2) you could've made the title more specific to the issue
3) it's an API problem - it was already discussed 2-3 weeks ago in Controller Scripting forum

2) English is not my native language so it is not that easy to find the good sentence
3) I know there was an issue for vertical scrolling but API issue is also for horizontal scrolling !
Let be honest that's not a good point for a DAW dedicated to live performance, not being abble to see what happens on screen without the need of the mouse.
Are they searching for a solution up there ?

You can send a feature request to Bitwig...dupont wrote: Sun Apr 11, 2021 6:52 amLet be honest that's not a good point for a DAW dedicated to live performance, not being abble to see what happens on screen without the need of the mouse.

"Bug" is a designed & implemented feature that doesn't work as it's supposed to.
The issue at hand is a "missing feature".
Words are important, use them correctly.
(and yes, I agree it's ridiculous it hasn't been added to the API yet)

Why bother implementing multi layers future for a live oriented DAW when the basic features are missing

I don't think it's "live oriented" really. If it was, we'd have official support for pad-based controllers, proper scene actions, some way to build a central performance panel that groups knobs/sliders/buttons/XYpads from multiple track for touch control, etc.dupont wrote: Fri Sep 24, 2021 11:53 amWhy bother implementing multi layers future for a live oriented DAW when the basic features are missing
Frankly, I don't know what Bitwig's focus is anymore

We all know. It's always been geeky stuff only certain group of people think cool and others don't care of.

To some extent that is true... but it is not one or the other. Comping is not a geeky feature. Neither is the new waveform display. And so on.lokanchung wrote: Fri Sep 24, 2021 3:45 pmWe all know. It's always been geeky stuff only certain group of people think cool and others don't care of.
